The Bower House Inn is a traditional, friendly & charming coaching Inn dating back to 1751, which still possesses many of the original features, nestled in the heart of the Eskdale valley. The hotel offers 20 comfortable en-suite rooms, split between the barn annex & the main Inn, many of the rooms are pet friendly, and are all equipped with a flat screen tv, tea & coffee making facilities and free wi-fi. The restaurant and bar offers hearty home cooked meals made from local produce & a range of local ales to be enjoyed around a roaring fire, or in the warmer months, sat out in our beautiful gardens enjoying the breath-taking view of Muncaster Fell, or watching a cricket match played on the local field just behind the inn.
With a noble history stretching back to the 14th century, Irton Hall is a lovely holiday destination, in the foothills of Lakeland’s western fells between Wasdale and Eskdale. Providing fifteen luxurious rooms of spacious Bed & Breakfast accommodation - plus there is self-catering accommodation (a choice of six) in the main house and others located in the 19 acres of surrounding parklands. Irton Hall is a pet friendly hotel, you are welcome to take your pet into the rooms and bar but they are not permitted in the restaurant/dining room.
The King George IV is a classic Lake District inn, with log fires, oak beams, slate floors and an abundance of history to go with it, situated in a magical place, nestling amongst the stunning fells of the western Lake District in the heart of Eskdale. We have comfy double en-suite rooms that are full of character and three self-catering apartments that range from sleeping 2 to 8 people with everything you need to enjoy a short break or a full week’s holiday. We are open all day every day, with local fresh food served from 12 till 8.45 and nine hand pumps serving excellent real ales from local breweries Strands, Ulverston, Yates, Cumbrian Legendary and Great Gable to name just a few, plus guest ales from brewers such as Bank Top, Copper Dragon and Moorhouse’s. Dogs, families, walkers, bikers are all welcome.
