Country show set against the back drop of the stunning Eskdale Fells, with classes for Herdwick sheep, foxhounds and terriers, along with hound trails where trained hounds race following the scent of aniseed over the surrounding fells, local handicrafts, children's sports events and fell races.

This is the premier Show for Herdwicks in the country and the tension runs high as the judging begins, but with a beer tent on site the day is a time of celebration. Acquaintances are renewed and new friends are made. The show is well attended by locals and visitors alike. Links to the past are maintained with displays of old farm machinery and engines, wrought iron working and wood turning. With plenty to keep the kids amused and a tent full of tea and cakes for Aunty Mable this really is a day out for all the family.
