Eskdale - what's it all about?
Within the valley are the villages of Boot, Eskdale Green and Ravenglass, a Narrow Gauge Railway, a Castle, The last working Corn mill in the Lake District, several Galleries, a Roman fort 7 Inns and much much more..
Eating Out
In easy walking distance are 3 pubs, the Woolpack Inn , Brook House Inn and Boot Inn , all serving a great range of Real Ales and Good Food, and if you are a whisky fan Brook House has over 175 malts on offer. Further down the road from Little Christcliff are the The Bower House Inn and the King George IV. Ravenglass has a selection of pubs and the La'al Ratty railway has a cafe at each terminus.
Shops
There is a village store selling an assortment of groceries, and outdoor equipment. The Post Office in Boot also has a variety of goods on offer, with lovely ice creams for those hot summer days. Further afield on the coast is the Village of Seascale which has various shops including a small supermarket and a butchers.
