Brantrake cottage is a 4 star rated 17th century grade II listed farmhouse situated in a secluded and peaceful position a mile from Eskdale Green with fells behind and the river Esk in front. The accommodation has been carefully restored and retains original features included beamed ceilings slate floor, woodburner yet has all the modern amenities including heating, dishwasher washing machine dryer, DVD,TV and wi-fi. The cottage sleeps up to 6 in 3 bedrooms, there are 2 bathrooms, and a private garden and patio with plenty of parking. You can walk directly from the cottage and the nearest pub is half a mile away.

As the name suggests, this cottage is built on the site of a Roman villa. The cottage has just been fully renovated with a beautiful kitchen, dining area and sitting room with open fire. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 which can either be a twin or a king sized bed). There is storage space available for bikes and even a room for muddy boots and wet clothes! Outside the cottage there is a lovely seating area over looking the River Mite and a children’s play area. The valley of Miterdale is one of the Lake District’s hidden gems, set off the side of the much larger Eskdale Valley. The peaceful valley has some beautiful woodland and a fantastic walk onto the Screes with amazing views into the Wasdale Valley. Despite the quiet location, Mite Villa is just a 10-minute walk from the local pub and a 15-minute walk to the village shop in Eskdale Green.

Yattus is an early 17th century cottage nestled on the edge of Eskdale Green village. Our visitors tell us the interior is timeless and peaceful, retaining many features from the 1600's, combined with all the modern conveniences we have come to expect. Accommodation consists of a sitting room with working range, separate dining room with wood burning stove, very well equipped kitchen, walk-in larder, conservatory, shower room, bathroom and 3 bedrooms - 2 doubles and 1 single. Yattus also has a lovely, terraced lakeland garden complete with 'garden play den' filled with toys, beloved by our small visitors on those wet days, and patio area with BBQ for those not-so-wet days! Birk How holiday cottage is situated in the centre of Eskdale village with stunning views of the Eskdale valley. The village shop is a 5 minute walk away, the Bower House Inn is 10 mins walk. The cottage itself is in beautiful order throughout, offering comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people. The garden faces South. Pets are welcome.

There are wood burners for the colder nights and the sitting room takes in views over the valley. The nearest pub is just a short walk away from the cottage and the village shop is also nearby.
Bobbin Mill holiday cottage is based on a working farm in Miterdale, one of the prettiest and least visited valleys in the Lake District. Overlooking the river Mite, this comfortable cottage sleeps 2. Miterdale, the writer Arthur Ransome's 'hidden valley', has magnificent views of Scafell, England's highest mountain, and branches off from the quiet village of Eskdale, which lies along the valley floor of the River Esk. There are many walks from the front door of Bobbin Mill holiday cottage - along the valley bottom which is fairly flat, or up into the fells and mountains. A favourite walk is over the fells, dropping down into the neighbouring Wasdale valley, with the Wasdale Head Inn at the end of the walk.

Originally built for Douglas Ferreira, the General Manager of the Ravenglass to Eskdale Railway, Underhow is a welcoming cottage with wonderful views of the Eskdale valley. Large picture windows make the most of the surrounding scenery and its proximity to a station on the miniature steam railway means you can easily hop on board and explore the valley and down to the coast.
