Rivers End is appropriately named, as the ancient village of Ravenglass is where the rivers Esk, Irt, and Mite meet the sea. This traditional high street cottage has been overhauled recently to offer high standard, modern living with high-ceilinged, open plan interiors and a balcony and patio specially designed so you can sit and watch the sun go down over the estuary. The accommodation is 'upside down' with the living area upstairs. Downstairs are two bedrooms (one double and one twin), and a wet room with shower.
The house is detached and is set at the entrance to Eskdale Estate, giving you access to 1,700 acres of woodlands, gardens, lakes, and an 18-hole golf course. The cottage features lovely bay windows and views over the surrounding countryside. Sleeping 6 to 8 people in 3 spacious bedrooms, there is Wi-Fi, a wood burning stove, and a wonderful enclosed garden. Hike over Muncaster Fell to reach the village of Eskdale or hop on the La’al Ratty and travel from Ravenglass to Eskdale. The village of Ravenglass itself is only a mile and a half away and here you will find the only bit of coastline in the Lake District National Park.
Situated on the Western tip of the Lake District, Ravenglass is a lovely seaside village that benefits from coastal sunshine and is within easy access of the western mountains and lakes.
